Where this started
Lumi started in Belgrade, watching small studios run beautiful businesses through tools that didn't deserve them. Spreadsheets. Instagram DMs. A booking app that asked customers to make accounts before letting them see prices.
We wanted something quieter. Something that felt like the room you were booking — calm, considered, unhurried. So we built it.
What we believe
Four things we won't move on:
- Reviews are earned, not imported. One per completed booking. New studios start at zero, on purpose.
- No dark patterns. No fake urgency, no hidden fees, no defaults that bend the booking flow against the customer.
- A returning customer books in under sixty seconds, start to finish. Counted, not aspired to.
- Lumi disappears into the background. The studio is the experience; we stay out of the way.

We're welcoming salons in Belgrade today and preparing London for after the pilot. Local language matters — everything your customers see is in Serbian and English from day one, written naturally in both. Future cities will get the same care, not a generic translation.
Small on purpose
We are not chasing growth before the product is ready. The Belgrade pilot is small on purpose: every owner gets a 1-on-1 setup call; every customer report reaches a real person inside a day. We grow when each new shop is a clean win, not a number.
